Modular Offices: Built to Code Commitment

Structural Performance

Starrco’s pre-engineered modular office systems are safely and effectively designed to comply with the structural requirements of the UBC, SBC and BOCA national building codes. These codes are associated with load-bearing design, roof deflection and lateral load resistance. Starrco’s modular offices also have the ability to be created to meet earthquake zone requirements.

Fire Protection

Starrco’s DL wall systems have gypsum board panels and commercial grade 20ga. steel doors with 18ga. steel frames. What does this mean? All components of these systems are non-combustible. Even though our modular offices are built to withstand some of the worst situations, we still provide fire safety guidelines for you and your modular offices construction.

The sandwich panels within our modular offices are tested by Factory Mutual Testing Laboratories in accordance to ASTM-E84. The panels have been found to be completely non-combustible with a flame spread of less than 25 and a smoke density of less than 20. With a request, copies of the test results are available.

Electrical Components

AII electrical components used are UL listed. They are designed for use with a standard 120/240-volt single-phase system that operates at 60 Hz. A three-phase system is available for use on more customized orders. The electrical handy box meets NEC (National Electric Code) requirements. More details on the electrical components can be found on our blog.

Accessibility

ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant locksets and door closers are available upon request. Starrco’s standard doors meet the width requirements for the ADA.

At Starrco, everything we do is safe and built to code. For any and all of your modular construction needs, remember us at Starrco.
